Missoula Misfits Baseball is a competitive 10U travel baseball program launched in Missoula, Montana in June 2026. We are building a player-first program centered on confidence, baseball IQ, and long-term growth, with our first tournament season planned for spring 2027.
We are not building perfect players. We are building confident ones.
Why We Started This Program
Many youth baseball programs are built around avoiding mistakes. We built ours around learning from them.
When players are afraid to take chances, confidence stalls, and development stops. We've seen it. At Missoula Misfits Baseball, we create an environment where players are expected to compete aggressively, think independently, and treat every at-bat, every play, and every mistake as a learning opportunity.
Confidence is not given. It is developed through experience, challenge, and the willingness to fail forward.
Our COACHING Philosophy
We develop complete athletes. That means we work on fundamentals, situational awareness, speed, mental toughness, leadership, and teamwork, not in isolation, but as an integrated approach to making players better across the board.
At the 10U level, developmentally appropriate coaching is everything. Nine and ten year old players are still learning what it means to compete, and the most important thing at this age is that they love the game. We keep it challenging, we keep it purposeful, and we keep it fun. Because players who love what they do show up, work hard, and grow.
We rotate players through positions and strive for equal playing time, because every kid on this roster deserves the same opportunities to develop, compete, and contribute. We push players to step outside their comfort zone, because the fear of making a mistake should never stand between a kid and their own growth. We reward effort over outcome and coach the whole player, because the goal was never just to win games. It was to send better athletes and better people off this field.

Playing time, leadership roles, and opportunities are earned through effort, attitude, commitment, and growth. Every player on this roster receives coaching, development, and a genuine opportunity to improve. No exceptions. No Daddyball.
Competing in Montana and Beyond
Misfits Baseball competes in youth baseball tournaments throughout Montana and the surrounding region, giving players exposure to high-level competition while continuing to develop within a structured, values-driven program.
We are built for families who want more than a winning record. We are built for families who want their athletes to come out of this experience tougher, smarter, and more confident than when they started.
